The website DownDetector, known for monitoring spikes in usage problems across various applications and online platforms, reported a significant increase in technical difficulties during this period.

Beginning at approximately 2:25 pm Eastern time, the site experienced an increase in glitches, with the number of reports rising from one every five minutes to more than 3,600 per five minutes.

"One Reddit user, claiming to work at Walmart, mentioned this is an across-the-board change," they stated on the platform.

'All the tech employees are currently focused on this task.'

E-commerce, impacted by the service disruption, represents a growing proportion of Walmart's revenue.

Actually, for every $100 spent at Walmart, $18 is being spent online, which clearly indicates that an increasing number of customers are using its website and app to make their purchases.
