Second Coming: PIMEC-2025 Returns to Karachi This November!

The Pakistan International Maritime Expo and Conference (PIMEC), a key biannual event hosted by Pakistan, showcases cutting-edge technologies from both local and global players in the maritime sector. This expo acts as an international platform where business leaders, research and development professionals, financial analysts, and high-level policymakers converge to foster collaboration, exchange insights, and endorse initiatives within the maritime domain.

The second iteration of PIMEC-2025 is set to take place between November 3rd and 6th, 2025, at the Karachi Expo Centre (KEC). As part of the preparatory efforts for this crucial gathering, the Steering Committee Meeting was convened by the Pakistan Navy on April 16th, 2025, at the Headquarters Commander Karachi within the premises of the Pakistan Navy, led by Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, HI (M), who serves as the Commander Karachi. This assembly brought together high-ranking officials from federal ministries, different governmental bodies of Sindh province, members of the Pakistan Navy, law enforcement agencies (LEAs), along with Badar Expo Solutions—the joint organizer of PIMEC. During the session, emphasis was placed on aligning everyone involved toward successfully executing this significant Pakistani event according to global benchmarks. Opening remarks were delivered by Vice Admiral Muhammad Faisal Abbasi, HI (M), where he underscored how organizing PIMEC aims to bolster and promote the capabilities of the maritime industry in Pakistan and capitalize on opportunities presented by the blue economy concept. Expressions of appreciation followed, noting hopefulness about achieving remarkable outcomes through enthusiastic engagement, thorough preparation, and collaborative endeavors among all participants.
