More than 60 American tech and innovation companies will participate in the 2025GITEX Africa event, underscoring Washington’s dedication to aiding Morocco’s digital evolution, according to remarks made by U.S. Chargé d’Affaires Aimee Cutrona on Monday.

At the fringes of the event in Marrakesh, Cutrona commented that this trade fair provides "an excellent stage" for U.S. companies to investigate potential investments in Morocco, which she characterized as an expanding digital center on the African continent.

She commended Morocco for how well it organized the event, seeing it as proof of the nation's leadership in Africa's digital strategy. She emphasized the continuous initiatives inspired by the forward-thinking perspective of HM King Mohammed VI, aiming to place the country ahead in technological advancement within the region.

In reference to a recent meeting in Washington D.C., where Minister of Foreign Affairs for Africa Cooperation and Moroccan Expatriates Nasser Bourita met with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, Cutrona stated that these discussions provided "a chance to underscore the enduring partnership we share with the Kingdom of Morocco, during the tenure of President Donald Trump and under the guidance of His Majesty King Mohammed VI."

Taking place under the esteemed patronage of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, GITEX Africa 2025 has attracted over 1,400 exhibitors hailing from more than 130 nations. This gathering features specialized conferences for various sectors, exhibitions highlighting creativity industries, along with discussions centered around digital advancements and AI innovations.

The organizers state that the exhibition intends to establish Morocco as a key entry point for technology investments and innovations throughout Africa.
