Sadia Khateeb's Eye-Opening Journey: Working Alongside John Abraham in 'The Diplomat'

Mumbai (Maharashtra), India, March 18 (ANI): Actor Sadia Khateeb she shared her professional experiences with John Abraham in Shivam Nair 's directorial film ' The Diplomat '.

During an interview with ANI, she discussed her collaboration with John, stating, "Working alongside him was truly delightful. Not only is he an exceptional performer, but also a wonderful person overall. I've long had great respect and affection for him. Collaborating with him was very enjoyable."

Directed by Shivam Nair , ' The Diplomat ' stars John Abraham as the main character, JP Singh, who is a talented diplomat handling a critical assignment. This movie is a gripping political suspense story emphasizing the strength of diplomacy and smart thinking rather than aggression and conflict.

Regarding her experience working on the film, she remarked, “It was an uplifting process. After going through auditions, I began delving into the material... As an actress, it posed significant challenges yet also represented a substantial opportunity for growth. Being chosen so early in my career filled me with joy. Upon receiving the role, rather than dwelling on potential difficulties, I felt immense appreciation for being granted this kind of chance since actors always seek demanding and substantive parts where they can explore innovative and artistic expressions.”

Previously, Abraham revealed what attracted him to the movie, calling it an "emotionally charged, nail-biting psychological thriller" instead of merely another patriotic tale.

He stated, "My involvement wasn't driven solely by patriotism; I took part due to its emotionally charged and nail-biting psychological suspense elements."

Compared to the movie Argo, the actor commented, “This situation feels similar to watching a film titled Argo. If you see that movie, it’s based on a real event involving the US Embassy in Iran and their efforts to evacuate individuals. Once you start watching that film, you can’t look away—you’ll be completely engrossed. This intense experience is something I felt here.” The Diplomat ."

John additionally noted that the movie doesn't follow the usual India-Pakistan narrative and urged viewers to watch it through a "humanitarian lens."

"This isn’t your usual Bollywood movie. Watch it through a humanistic lens,” he remarked.

Expanding on the narrative, Director Nair stated, "This movie draws inspiration from an actual event. It revolves around Uzma, a lady hailing from Delhi, who traveled to Malaysia seeking employment opportunities. She became entangled with someone from Pakistan and ultimately found herself ensnared in that country. That’s the tale we aim to portray."

The movie is produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar of T-Series. John Abraham (JA Entertainment), directed by Vipul D Shah, produced by Ashwin Varde and Rajesh Bahl (Wakaoo Films), alongside Sameer Dixit, Jatish Varma, and Rakesh Dang (Fortune Pictures/Seeta Films).
