LAGOS - Nigeria has introduced numerous domestically produced items—including cars, laptops, water dispensers, and solar-powered devices—created through collaboration with a Chinese firm.
Mr. Muhammad Ndaman, who leads the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), unveiled the products at a targeted Strategic Focused Group Meeting focused on Nigeria-made items organized in Sokoto State.
He revealed that the items were produced utilizing hybrid tech that merges electric and fuel-powered systems, with most of the components coming from local sources.
He highlighted that these innovations are part of an extensive initiative aimed at fostering locally developed answers and decreasing the nation's reliance on imported goods.
"These technologies will ultimately be completely transferred to Nigeria to boost our industrial capabilities and foster economic development," Ndaman stated.
This is consistent with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda.
He urged Nigerians and corporations to back NASENI’s efforts by backing domestically produced items, stating that this would aid job creation, foster innovation, and bolster the economy.
The Managing Director of the Bank of Industry (BOI), Hajiya Habiba Sambawa, urged entrepreneurs to take advantage of the government’s N75 billion loan initiative, providing funding opportunities up to N5 million.
