New Delhi [India], April 14 (ANI): The recently held Global Technology Summit (GTS) 2025, organized by Carnegie India in Delhi, highlighted a significant dedication to sustainability and environmental stewardship.
The event was notable not only for its emphasis on worldwide technological advancements but also for the environmentally conscious approach taken throughout all stages of the summit.
This year, Carnegie India collaborated with The GenC to introduce an incremental ESG (Environment, Society, and Government) strategy framework aimed at minimizing the summit’s ecological footprint and fostering a culture of accountable event organization.
Right from the initial planning stages through to follow-up actions after the event, the GTS team deliberately opted to emphasize sustainability.
According to the event organizers, reusable utensils for food and drinks were utilized throughout the venue, and repurposed wood was employed in constructing event elements. The waste management systems also adopted a circular strategy, aiming for minimal waste and optimal recycling.
The organizers placed emphasis on engaging participants in these initiatives as well. They showcased real-time monitoring of the event’s carbon emissions, which assisted guests in grasping the ecological consequences of their attendance. Additionally, they organized interactive dialogues and engagements aimed at boosting consciousness and fostering responsibility amongst the participants.
GTS 2025 Not only has it lessened its ecological impact, but it has also set an example for upcoming Indian events to follow sustainable planning and execution methods. This represents progress toward integrating technology with environmental stewardship, demonstrating that innovation and accountability can coexist seamlessly.
The ninth Global Technology Summit (GTS) organized by Carnegie India in collaboration with the Ministry of External Affairs took place from April 10 to 12, 2025, in New Delhi. The event included open sessions on April 11 and 12.
