In preparation for the 35th National Games, the Sports Board Punjab has organized training camps across 21 different sports categories in Lahore. Meanwhile, Faisalabad is hosting camps focused on kabaddi, taekwondo, volleyball, and handball. This information was shared by Director General of Sports Punjab Khizar Afzaal Chaudhry when he visited several locations within the Nishtar Park Sports Complex (NPSC) for inspections. More than 600 male and female participants are engaged in these intensive coaching-led programs. Following this two-week period, approximately 485 outstanding athletes will be chosen to compete under the banner of Punjab in the upcoming National Games set to take place in Karachi from May 1st through May 9th, 2025.
The athletes are participating in both early morning and late evening sessions dedicated to honing advanced skills and enhancing physical fitness. Under the supervision of Director Admin Dr. M Kaleem, Director Sports Rana Nadeem Anjum, and various officials, the Directorate General of Sports engaged with the athletes to assess their development and confirm that they receive proper instruction as well as suitable living conditions.
