Dream Sports Championship: Dempo SC Faces Chennaiyin FC in National Finals 2025

Panaji (Goa), India, April 7 (ANI): The Dream Sports Championship The Football 2025 National Finals is set to commence in Goa on April 8th. For the boys' National Finals, eight teams have been split into two groups, competing fiercely for top honors. Additionally, this year marks the inaugural edition of the girls' National Finals, which will see another eight teams vying for their chance at victory.

The team matchups will be held at the SAG Benaulim Football Ground and Utorda Sports Complex, with the final set for the Raia Football Ground on April 15, according to the plan. Dream Sports Foundation ( DSF ) press release.

For the boys' division, the teams are split into two categories:

Group A: Reliance Foundation Young Champs (RYFC, Mumbai), Chennaiyin FC (CFC, Bengaluru), Demp Sports Club ( DSC , Goa), Mohun Bagan Super Giants (MBSG, Kolkata)

Group B: Punjab FC (PFC, Delhi), Norwich City FC (NCFC, International Invitational Team), Football 4 Change (F4C, Guwahati), SESA FA (SESA, Goa)

On Day 1 of the boys' competition, Reliance Foundation Young Champs will face off against Mohun Bagan Super Giant in Benaulim. Chennaiyin FC take on Dempo SC In the morning, matches are held at Utorda. Later in the evening, Punjab FC will compete against SESA FA in Benaulim, whereas Norwich City FC and Football 4 Change will play their game at Utorda.

For the girls' division, eight regional squads selected by the All India Football Federation (AIFF) will vie for honors. The competition kicks off on April 9, 2025, with participating teams split into two groups: Group A comprises Assam FA, Jharkhand FA, Goa FA, and Karnataka State FA; whereas Group B consists of Kerala FA, Rajasthan FA, Odisha FA, and Delhi SA.

The group stage fixtures for the boys' division are scheduled for April 8, 10, and 12. For the girls' division, these games will be held on April 9, 11, and 13. The leading teams from each group in their respective divisions will advance to compete in the final round on April 15. (ANI)
