"We had barely started operations at March Motel in Nyamapanda when we suffered significant losses; however, surrendering was simply not part of our vocabulary," she stated.

Currently, her enterprise encompasses more than 50 employees, positioning her as one of the biggest individual job providers within the area. Additionally, nearby farmers have gained advantages since she acquires fresh products from them directly, thus providing a consistent demand for their offerings.

Even with her busy schedule as the head of March Trading, Mai Madzeka grasps the significance of maintaining equilibrium.

She arranges various community gatherings like Valentine’s Day festivities, music performances, and beauty contests at Nyamakwere Hotel, with breaks taken two times annually for family holidays.

As a devoted follower of Christianity, she draws comfort from consistent participation in church services. Outside her work in hospitality, she commits herself to charitable causes and actively supports initiatives aimed at improving the well-being of her community.

For example, she has gifted cows for milk production to the Mother of Peace orphanage, supported the schooling of underprivileged kids, and participated on multiple community councils.

The key to her success? "Disregard superstitions and put in hard work. Honesty is the best policy here. It’s essential to meet your employees' needs, ensure timely payments to suppliers, and keep a positive rapport with your financial backers," she stated.
