Numerous students from the British University Vietnam (BUV) have drawn interest from leading companies in sectors such as technology, finance, real estate, and global hospitality during the BUV Career Fair 2025, well ahead of their graduation.
The yearly career expo held at BUV’s Eco Park campus on April 10 saw participation from around 50 prominent recruiting firms such as Ernst & Young Vietnam, Panasonic, Shopee, Sun Group, CBRE, FPT IS, Gameloft, Marriott International, and Accor Hotels. This gathering drew over 1,700 students who participated enthusiastically in numerous events and recruitment booths set up across the venue during the course of the day.

This year, numerous BUV students from their freshman or sophomore years have been chosen for subsequent recruitment stages. This indicates an emerging pattern in employment approaches where companies are placing greater emphasis on nurturing young talents at earlier educational levels.
Nguyen Hong Ngoc, who serves as the Director of Talent Acquisition and Development at Sun Group, expressed his genuine surprise at the proactivity and confidence demonstrated by BUV students. He noted that even freshmen were articulate about their future careers and posed insightful queries regarding internships. This indicated to him that these students are both knowledgeable and motivated, with a strong desire for growth.
A number of recruiters emphasized the strong points of BUV students, notably their command of languages, digital skills, professional attitude, and confidence—all attributes highly valued in the current employment landscape.

Additionally, they possess valuable hands-on experience and strong self-awareness, making them particularly appealing candidates for potential employers.
Huong Le, the HR Director at Ritz-Carlton, who has collaborated with numerous BUV interns, mentioned that these students possess remarkable openness and initiative—traits that are greatly appreciated by employers. She noted, “First-year students were asking thoughtful questions right away, demonstrating their commitment to professional growth from day one.”
The Ritz-Carlton is presently recruiting candidates for roles in the front office, food and beverage services, marketing, human resources, and finance. They offer comprehensive training programs along with defined career progression paths. Additionally, she commended BUV’s hospitality course for providing practical experience through extensive on-site training and state-of-the-art equipment. Many freshmen within this program have already secured internships with corporate affiliates of the institution, which has bolstered their self-assurance and focus when participating in job interviews.
Hands-on experiences for practical preparedness
To prepare students effectively, the BUV Career Fair 2025 included numerous activities designed to hone crucial work-related abilities such as conducting mock interviews and taking professional headshots for their resumes.
