Arslan Ash Exits Major Esports Tournaments: Visa Issues Stall Career

In Pakistan on April 17 — Arslan Ash, the renowned PakistaniTekken 8 competitor, disclosed that he would be absent from two significant esports competitions in 2025. Visa issues were highlighted by him as the cause of his absence from both the Riyadh Gamers8 and Evo Japan tournaments.

The absence of Arslan, one of the leadingTekken competitors globally, is a letdown for both spectators and event planners. Earlier this year, he showcased impressive play which had set high hopes for upcoming tournaments. In an announcement made via X (previously known asTwitter), he conveyed his vexation over issues related to his visa status.

Arslan noted, "I made every effort to go, but unfortunately, I encountered visa problems again." He acknowledged the challenges faced by South Asian players when accessing international events. These hurdles highlight a broader issue affecting many esports athletes from developing nations.

Even with this hurdle, Arslan Ash continues to stay optimistic and dedicated to Tekken 8. His strategy involves concentrating on his practice sessions and participating in regional competitions. Additionally, he intends to venture into global contests as the year progresses.
