Almost 200,000 cans of green beans have been swiftly recalled across multiple states due to potential contamination with foreign objects.

The Good & Gather Cut Green Beans, distributed by Target, have been subject to a recall across nearly two dozen states such as Alabama, Arizona, Georgia, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, and Texas, as reported by the authorities. Food and Drug Administration.

On February 12, 197,808 cans were recalled. On March 13, this recall was classified at the second-highest risk level, designated as a 'Class II'.

A 'Class II' classification indicates a potential risk where the 'product might lead to temporary or medically reversible adverse health effects.'

The cans affected by this recall have a 'Best if Used By' date up until October 28, 2026, and they carry the lot number AA 418507.

It remains uncertain whether anyone who ate the green beans has fallen ill or been harmed; however, the recall continues to be an ongoing process.

The Good & Gather Cut Green Beans were delivered and sold in 21 states nationwide, with recalls implemented for every state’s shipments.

The listed states are as follows: Alabama, Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia, Iowa, Illinois, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, North Carolina, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, Virginia, and Wisconsin.

The FDA did not specify in their statement what type of foreign object might have caused the contamination; however, such objects generally belong to one of two categories.
