New Delhi [India], April 18 (ANI): On Friday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a phone call with Tesla CEO Elon Musk, during which they explored the significant possibilities for cooperation in the fields of technology and innovation.

Prime Minister Modi stated India’s dedication to strengthening partnerships between India and the United States across multiple sectors. He mentioned that they discussed several matters, including those addressed during their previous meeting in the US back in February of this year.

On X, Prime Minister Modi posted, "I spoke with @elonmusk and addressed several matters, continuing from what was discussed at our previous encounter in Washington D.C. This time, we explored the significant prospects for cooperation within tech and innovation sectors. India continues to uphold its dedication to strengthening alliances with the U.S. across these fields."

In early February, Elon Musk met with Prime Minister Modi at Blair House in Washington, D.C. The discussion during their meeting focused on enhancing cooperation between Indian and American organizations in areas such as innovation, space exploration, artificial intelligence, and sustainability efforts.

PM Modi and Elon Musk also spoke about opportunities to deepen cooperation in emerging technologies, entrepreneurship and good governance. Musk, who heads the US Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), was accompanied by three of his children.

The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) stated in an announcement, “During their conversation, the Prime Minister and Mr. Musk explored ways to enhance partnership among innovators, space agencies, AI experts, and sustainability advocates from India and the United States. They also delved into potential avenues for greater coordination in cutting-edge tech, startup ecosystems, and effective governance.”

Prime Minister Modi used X to provide insights into his discussion with Musk. Posting on X, Prime Minister Modi mentioned, “I had an excellent meeting with @elonmusk in Washington D.C. Our conversation covered several topics, particularly focusing on areas of interest for him like space exploration, transportation solutions, technological advancements, and innovative approaches. I spoke about India’s initiatives aimed at reforms and promoting ‘Less Government, More Governance’.”

At the gathering, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had an encounter with Elon Musk’s offspring, who were in attendance at the event. On X, PM Modi shared, “I greatly enjoyed connecting with Mr. @elonmusk’s kin and discussing various topics!” (ANI)
